If You Think You Can, You Actually Can

Do you ever feel like you've completely lost it while trying to be a freelance writer?

It is hard work, I know.

Wherever you find freelance writing jobs, the pay is just peanuts. When you put in time and effort to provide a quality piece of writing, you naturally expect to be paid well for it, but you just don't!
Freelance networking sites like Upwork, Fiverr, Guru and other similar websites feature plenty of jobs but the clients are looking for the cheapest quotes, and on top of that these freelance websites take away a major chunk from your already low pay.

 Not fair, right?
That is exactly what I felt when I was working for these freelancing websites some years ago. I had work alright, but there was no real satisfaction in it at all. I wrote and wrote but I didn't enjoy it much. I wasn't rewarded for my time, my effort and most importantly the sleep-deprivation I was going through to meet deadlines.

I had had enough.

I knew I had to move on.

And I did!

Freelance Writing Work is NOT all Gloom

I set up Ghostwriters' World back in 2013 before having written tons for peanuts for my clients on freelancing websites. It is a platform where we fulfill all the writing needs for our clients. We only provide high quality content in the shortest time frame possible. While I am writing this, it has already been 5 years since Ghostwriters' World was born, and I couldn't be happier with it.
When I can do it, so can you. Dreams do come true!

As I have said in my previous blogs, to start your career as a freelance writer, freelance websites are great. They will give you the work you need but not the pay you so badly crave. That is why you need you have a more positive outlook and move on.

Once you have established yourself a good writer, go ahead and set up your writing business. Build a website or a blog. Market yourself and your skills on them or on social media platforms. Go out there and show the world what you can do. Claim your own rates and earn what you think you should.

I did exactly that too.
Until now, my rates were low as compared to the market rates. I was told that over and over by other experienced writers working with me. I knew that  somewhere in the back of mind too but was just afraid- afraid of losing my regular clients if I charged them more.

Well, guess what?

I was so wrong.
I increased my rates last year (2017) and once again this year (2018), and I still get plenty of work. In fact, there are times when I am swarmed with so much work that I struggle to handle it alone, but still somehow manage to with the help of other writers working alongside me. This is only because m good clients keep coming for the great quality and service we promise to deliver each time. You promise them that and they will pay you what you ask for.
Think Positively and Go For It
Thinking that freelance writing does not pay well is all what you have in your mind. Get this thought out of there because there are freelance writers like me out there who earn a decent living only through their writing alone. If you know you have the true potential, great writing skills and provide high-quality service, you will be able to find clients in this vast marketplace who will pay you top-notch rates.
Writing is needed for everything: books, websites, blogs, articles, ebooks......the list can go on and on. That's where you, as a freelance writer, can help. There will always be a need to write and a need for freelance writers like you. Trust me, you can earn a decent through your writing. All you need to do is change your mindset and outlook on things. Believe in yourself, in your skills and in this exceptional talent that you have, and there is no stopping you from attaining the success you need.

I will be back with my next post with more tips for freelance writers. Until then, THINK POSITIVELY and KEEP WRITING!

You have just found out that ghostwriting is a lucrative career . You wish to become a ghostwriter now, but you know it is not easy to be one. The biggest challenge you will face as a ghostwriter is to see someone else take the credit for your writing. That’s what all ghostwriters sign up for. Developing this sense of detachment is the first thing you’ll need to learn to do, but there are other skills that you’ll need to succeed as a ghostwriter. Besides having a command over the language and mastering the art of writing that we all need as writers, there are 7 other skills that, in my opinion, will help you develop a successful career in ghostwriting. 1. Be Versatile – You should be able to handle different kinds of writing projects with equal ease. While you may be an expert in a certain niche or genre, don’t just confine yourself to ghostwriting books. Expand your skills to write short or long articles, blogs, speeches or essays. Confining yourself to just one area wil

6 of the Most Common Ghostwriting FAQs Answered: What to Include in My Contract Before Ghostwriting My Client's Book

Having answered the top two most frequently asked questions about ghostwriting, it is now time for the third one. Question #3: What should I include in my contract before I start ghostwriting my client's book? Answer: To state the obvious, a written and signed contract is one of the most important elements a ghostwriter needs before he or she undertakes a ghostwriting job. A contract is a mutual agreement between you, as the ghostwriter and the client you are ghostwriting for. Because a ghostwriting job can take several weeks and even months to complete, what you include in this contract should be all carefully worded. So, what should you include in the contact? From my personal experience as a ghostwriter, I believe any terms that you and the client have mutually discussed and agreed on should be penned down in your contract. Nothing, and I mean absolutely NOTHING should remain a part of your verbal communication. It all has to be in black and white and

8 Reasons Why You Should Become a Ghostwriter

Despite having published under my own name, I prefer being a ghostwriter. While ghostwriting is not everyone's cup of tea, it just seems to work perfectly for me. The reasons?  1 . Ghostwriting Pays Well Ghostwriting is a lucrative niche . One of the best things about ghostwriting is that you get paid a handsome amount for it. And you get paid upfront. You don't have to wait to write, publish and then market your book to make any money out of it.    At Ghostwriters' World, I offer other writing services such as copywriting but ghostwriting undoubtedly pays the best. You just have to find the right clients- the ones who will pay you well. 2. You Have to do Less Homework Often your clients will have brilliant ideas and stories that they would want you to work on. This means you would not have to start from scratch. You don't have to come up with your own ideas and voice. You would have an outline or plot to begin with so you'll have to do less homewo
