What are Backlinks: The Basics of Backlinks You Need to Know

As you may have already picked up from its name, back-links are any links received from another website or webpage.  They back or support your page or website. Why are Back-links Important? The importance of back-links is in S earch Engine Optimization (SEO) . The number of back-links is an indication of the popularity or importance of your website or webpage. This post is more sort of a continuation of my previous blog post "What Sells Well?" In case you've not read it, here is the link: http://ghostwritersworld.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/what-sells-well.html  In the previous post, I said you can sell almost anything if you provide a good quality as well as a unique product or service at a competitive price. You want your website to have SEO-optimised content, and include keywords that people might be looking for on search engines like Google.  However, don't stuff your writing with too many keywords. You might put yourself into trouble that way.  How, you ask?  Well, let me explain. What is Keyword Stuffing? The search engine produces a list of the documents and websites where the 'keywords' can be found. Examples of popular search engines include Google, Ask, and Yahoo among many others. Types of Search Engines: There are three types of search engines: 1. Crawlers, Ants, or Spiders are powered by robots; 2. A second type of search engine is powered by humans; 3.
