Hiring an Inexperienced Freelance Writer

Previously we talked about making a wise decision when hiring a ghostwriter to write for you or on behalf of you. The ability to write is God gifted, but imagination is truly beyond any question. You  may be someone who has some brilliant ideas jotted down in the form of small notes. You might want to enlighten people with your great thoughts but still cannot manage to give those notes the look of a good book. What can you do about it? Simply put a full stop to your worries by hiring an expert ghostwriter.  However, they may turn out to be expensive.  If your are trying to work things out on a budget and you have not had any previous experience with  ghost writers ,  do not worry you can easily locate them on various freelancing platforms such as Elance and still get your job done in a pocket-friendly manner. How to Pick One? The right kind of ghostwriter or freelance writer for your job can easily be hired by having a look at his previous checking ou...

Ghostwriting – Convenience or a Lie?

While people are  increasingly  relying on ghostwriters to write books, web content, articles, stories or blogs on their behalf, there are still some people who do not appreciate the idea. Of course, the ghostwriter never seems to get the credit for his/her work and earns only a fraction of what the owner of the book or article earns. Doesn't sound fair? Or does it? Here's my honest opinion on it. Why do People Hire Ghostwriters? People hire ghostwriters for the sake of convenience. They may want something written, for example a novel, a memoir, a blog, an article or even engaging content for their website or descriptions of the products they wish to sell. They might have brilliant ideas to write a book that they are thinking about selling and making some money out of. They might just need to fill up their blog with quality content to keep their readers engaged and to increase traffic. So why do they need you? Despite all that, they may be lacking the time and  ne...

What Sells Well: Part 2

This post is more sort of a continuation of my previous blog post "What Sells Well?" In case you've not read it, here is the link: http://ghostwritersworld.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/what-sells-well.html  In the previous post, I said you can sell almost anything if you provide a good quality as well as a unique product or service at a competitive price. You need to find a USP, that is your Unique Selling Point to let yourself stand out and look different from others. Now to understand the whole concept of selling anything well, I'll try to give you my own example. On Fiverr, (one of the freelancing platforms I work on) I have quite a few different writing gigs. Out of all those, my best selling gig is about writing product descriptions: http://fiverr.com/users/intellect001/manage_gigs/write-a-short-description-about-new-aap-game-website-or-any-products-you-are-thinking-of-selling Now, it's not that I'm the only one on Fiverr writing product descriptions...

Build a Blog Site

We've talked about earning money by having your own blog or website earlier. Haven't we? Now let's find out more about your blog here and of course find out as to why I've one of own;) What is a Blog? A blog is a website where the owner or group of owners or operator posts opinions, information and items of interest on a regular basis. A blog is often part of a personal or company’s website (but mine isn't and I'll tell you why in a bit). It is a pull-down menu tab on their main website. Blog writers use their blog to share opinions, brag about company or personal successes and/or share information that might be useful to their customers or visitors. Blog entries should celebrate employee or client successes. It may also advertise upcoming events or new products. Now as to why my blog isn't a part of another website. Well, this blog of mine is not meant to make profits. It's purely for sharing useful information, telling others about way...

10 Qualities of a Good Website:

In my last blog, I talked about the importance of  having a website, but before you create or redesign your website, take a look at these qualities of a good website and try to modify or create yours accordingly. 1. A Solid Domain Name Choose a name that is easily recognizable as your business and quick for visitors to locate. If the name you want—like designershoes.com—is not available try something like designershoes.net. Or, you might make a change to something like designershoe.com. Wherever possible stay with a dot.com domain and avoid things like hyphens or apostrophes. Your domain name is ultra-important. The name should identify your business like: SureFireKennels.com or RapidRoofers.net. It could gain or lose you customers so choose wisely! If you are unsure how to go about choosing a domain name, look at what your competitors have done. Do an Internet search and/or talk to an experienced web designer. Competition for good domain names is getting fierce. Use ev...
