If You Think You Can, You Actually Can

Do you ever feel like you've completely lost it while trying to be a freelance writer?  It is hard work, I know.  Wherever you find freelance writing jobs, the pay is just peanuts. When you put in time and effort to provide a quality piece of writing, you naturally expect to be paid well for it, but you just don't! Freelance networking sites like Upwork, Fiverr , Guru and other similar websites feature plenty of jobs but the clients are looking for the cheapest quotes, and on top of that these freelance websites take away a major chunk from your already low pay.  Not fair, right? That is exactly what I felt when I was working for these freelancing websites some years ago. I had work alright, but there was no real satisfaction in it at all. I wrote and wrote but I didn't enjoy it much. I wasn't rewarded for my time, my effort and most importantly the sleep-deprivation I was going through to meet deadlines.  I had had enough.  I knew I had to move ...

2 Simple Ways to Start off Your Career as a New Freelance Writer

Last week someone posted on my Facebook page of Ghostwriters' World that he was finding it hard to make some real cash out of freelance writing. While it's hard work initially, once you have launched yourself and made a reputation in the field, it should be pretty straight forward. I'll dedicate my future blogs to educate you on how to earn well through freelance writing alone. Setting off as a New Freelance Writer Are you too just starting off your career as a freelance writer ? Are you struggling to earn a decent income of it? Yes? This post will give you some ideas and tips for YOU to get out there and showcase your writing skills to the world. Before you begin, the first thing to do is set realistic goals. It is good to dream big, but take it one step at a time. With the growing world on the Internet, there is more demand for writers, specially freelance writers, than there was ever before. Writing is needed for everything: books, ebooks, websites, magazines,...

What Sells Well: Part 2

This post is more sort of a continuation of my previous blog post "What Sells Well?" In case you've not read it, here is the link: http://ghostwritersworld.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/what-sells-well.html  In the previous post, I said you can sell almost anything if you provide a good quality as well as a unique product or service at a competitive price. You need to find a USP, that is your Unique Selling Point to let yourself stand out and look different from others. Now to understand the whole concept of selling anything well, I'll try to give you my own example. On Fiverr, (one of the freelancing platforms I work on) I have quite a few different writing gigs. Out of all those, my best selling gig is about writing product descriptions: http://fiverr.com/users/intellect001/manage_gigs/write-a-short-description-about-new-aap-game-website-or-any-products-you-are-thinking-of-selling Now, it's not that I'm the only one on Fiverr writing product descriptions...

Working for Less Than a Fiver

While it may sound a lot less to work for less than a fiver today, I still think it's a great way to get started. If you think I'm talking gibberish, just bear with me. I'll tell you where and how you can start making money....very little money to start with but with a potential to build up with time....Now, I'm not asking you to do several hours of laborious jobs for a fiver. You can do anything, and that means absolutely ANYTHING! If you've ever Googled up for freelance jobs, you might have come across freelance websites like like Fiverr , Smobs, Fivesquids and many other similar ones where people sell small services for $5 or £5. With over 200 million gigs selling and more being added each and every day, Fiverr turns out to be the most popular among these. What to Sell for a Fiver?    Did I mention you can sell anything on Fiverr ? I suppose so. You don't need to have a particular skill or talent to become a seller on Fiverr or other similar webs...
