I am Creative but I am Invisible- I am a Ghostwriter!

One of the most common questions I am asked is: "Why did you choose to become a ghostwriter when you can become an author and publish in your own name?" My reply is often just one word: " Satisfaction " . But there is more to it than satisfaction alone... Ghostwriters, like myself, make it possible for laymen to share their life experiences, ideas or thoughts. They make it possible for scientists and other experts in specialized fields to share their work, expertise and findings. They help politicians, celebrities and other important people to write their own autobiographies. Without ghostwriters, many of them would never be so well-known to the world, unless, of course, if they all have the time and skills to write it all themselves- which they often don't. Ghostwriters are often preferred by people to write books for them, not only because they know how to play with words, but also because they have the special powers to listen to them, to be ab...

Writing Your Own Book: Getting Started

Hello all! Recently many people have come across asking me how I actually get about writing a book or an eBook. Some of the questions that now I'm been tired of answering  are:  Can anyone do it or are there any special skills required?  Is the process simple or complicated?  How do they get published? That's why I've decided to dedicate my next series of blog posts to all those curious minds out there who wish to write their own book and get it published for others to read their ideas. I hope to make the process sound as simple as possible. In this first post about writing your own book, I'll start off with simple tips and tricks to let you get started. To answer the question " Can anyone do it?", I'd say, "No, not really. But many can". If we could all write, a ghostwriter like myself would not have existed in the first place. And there would be no other way to make money than just by writing. Think if we were all writers, wh...

Making Ghostwriting Your Career

Enough information about blogs, websites, search engines, SEO and all those trending topics talking about how you can establish your online presence! Let's get back to the topic of 'ghostwriting', something this blog is originally about. Now, before I go any further, I just want to make sure you know what ghostwriting is. It may sound funny but many people still think it's writing about ghosts, witches and those scary things.  While ghostwriting literally means the same, the main idea behind ghostwriting is that you write on someone else's behalf. So basically, if you know a well-known author out there, he probably wasn't the mastermind behind his books. It was a ghostwriter! Does that sound a bit insane or may be unfair to you? You write something and someone else gets the credit for it....Well to some extent it is, but I still believe  establishing  your career as a ghostwriter  is a wonderful idea. Or at least  that's  w...

Working for Less Than a Fiver

While it may sound a lot less to work for less than a fiver today, I still think it's a great way to get started. If you think I'm talking gibberish, just bear with me. I'll tell you where and how you can start making money....very little money to start with but with a potential to build up with time....Now, I'm not asking you to do several hours of laborious jobs for a fiver. You can do anything, and that means absolutely ANYTHING! If you've ever Googled up for freelance jobs, you might have come across freelance websites like like Fiverr , Smobs, Fivesquids and many other similar ones where people sell small services for $5 or £5. With over 200 million gigs selling and more being added each and every day, Fiverr turns out to be the most popular among these. What to Sell for a Fiver?    Did I mention you can sell anything on Fiverr ? I suppose so. You don't need to have a particular skill or talent to become a seller on Fiverr or other similar webs...

Elance: My Favourite Freelancing Platform

I've been working on Elance for about 1.5 years now and I've to say, it's awesome! Unlike other freelancing platforms like Odesk, you don't get 'peanuts' for your hard work. Although there are clients who offer a next-to-nothing budget for you to work with (and surprisingly enough freelancers willingly want to work with them), you'll find here plenty of clients who have a fairly good budget (for the amount of work they ask for) to work with. Bidding on jobs is however the crucial bit. How to convince your employer that you are fit for the offered position / job? Beside your qualifications and experience, you need to play with powerful words to entice your clients to hire you. Positive feedbacks from your previous clients (this could be a bit of problem for newbies) and a good reputation on Elance really helps. A fair bid (sometimes the lowest wins but most of the time clients are willing to pay extra for quality) that's within the client's budget ...

How to Write a Killer Article that Catches Immediate Attention?

Well, that's what this blog about: writing and making money out of it. If you can write and have a good imagination, it shouldn't be hard at all. I'll just explain how you can write something that catches attention immediately. I've tried to make it as simple as possible. For me, good writing is the art of putting down your thoughts boggling your mind in to words, one after the other, such that they connect together and indulge your readers in them when they begin reading them. “ This is how you do it: you sit down at the keyboard and you put one word after another until it’s done. It's that easy, and that hard.” ― Neil Gaiman Why Write when You can Say it? There are people from all around the world writing; some write to quench their own thirst to write, some for the sake of money and the rest for both reasons. You’ll be surprised to know how much writing is in demand today. People need words to communicate, and written words are needed when y...

The Story of a Content Freelance Writer ☺️

It often happens in life that you think of doing something but end up doing completely the opposite. Does it sound like you? Yes? Read on to find out my story. While a lot of people may regret not being able to do what they always wanted, I don't. I did at one point, but not anymore. Your perceptions, aims and goals in life change with time, and they did for me too. I had always wanted to become an engineer and my parents knew that right from the time I was a little girl. I would often break open my toys to have a closer look inside and study its mechanism or help my Dad mend little things around the house. As I grew up, I was more than determined to study engineering and so I did! I spent some of the most difficult four years of my life going to one of the best engineering universities and ended up becoming an Electronics Engineer . Well, not quite. I managed to get a bachelor's degree in engineering. I did what I wanted to and it was like a dream come true. A ha...
