Getting Paid Ads on Your Website or Blog

Want to drive more traffic to your website? Want to get paid without selling? Then you need to get paid Ads on your website. Here's all you need to know about them:

What are Paid Ads?

Paid advertising is a great way to guide more traffic to your site and increase business. However, you need to be very careful around them or you might make it really expensive for yourself!

How are Paid Ads Useful?

Paid ads generate lots of website traffic. This SHOULD generally translate into more revenue. But, if all these leads are “tire kickers”, then the money you spend on them might better been used elsewhere. With Google AdWords, you can write your own headline, copy, description of your goods or services and link to any page you want!

Getting Started using Paid Ads

Google AdWords is a great tool to get started. But, before you shell out money for paid advertising, do your homework. Find out about paid Ads. Read. Talk to others who use them.

Make sure you understand about longtail keywords such as “ghostwriter” is considered a “head” keyword. That’s computer speak for the fact that this keyword is searched a lot! The keyword: “ghostwriting services for books, articles, blogs or stories” receives fewer searches. However, it is a lot better descriptor of the services I am offering. It is a better long tail keyword. You might be able to refine this even farther by adding 'experienced' or 'affordable'. You get the idea!

How much do Paid Ads Cost?

Google has more than one way of costing paid ads. You can bid on what you are prepared to pay. You will be charged a fee that is called “pay per click”. Each time somebody clicks on your ad, you are charged regardless of the fact whether he or she buys or not. The higher your bid, the higher in ranking your ad will be.

First-time marketers often choose poor or weak keywords as they are cheaper. Purchasing “head” keywords like 'ghostwriter' or 'ghostwriting' costs significantly more money. Remember, you will not get more revenue from a paid ad that doesn’t generate as many visitors BUT from the ones you get are seriously looking for what you have to offer! Higher-traffic does not necessarily translate into high revenue. With paid ads it’s all about the bottom line!

Are Paid Ads Worth the Money?

It is possible to have great ads that generate all kinds of web traffic but all are requests for stuff you do not even have or do not do! Before you leap into paid advertising, make sure you understand how it all works.

For example: Google AdWords tool tends to push people toward keywords that are far too broad. They are also more expensive and much less effective. These are called “head” keywords. It’s important to understand that you aren't necessarily looking for keywords that will bring the highest traffic. You need the words that your customers will use to look for you! There is no money in attracting tire kickers. You want serious shoppers—not just browsers.

The other side of the coin is you WILL get more exposure. For that reason alone paid ads pay off. Based on my experience, Google Adwords is easy to use, quick to set up, and brings in new traffic and clients in. If you've a well-established online business, it would be worth your while to budget fifty or a hundred dollars a month for paid ads. If you are hoping to get brand recognition paid ads aren’t a bad way to go at all. Facebook Ads are more work because Facebook has stringent rules for setting them up, but the exposure you gain is huge!

In this era of social media, you might wish to explore this significantly less costly option first. Follow my next blog to find out more!

8 Reasons Why You Should Become a Ghostwriter

Despite having published under my own name, I prefer being a ghostwriter. While ghostwriting is not everyone's cup of tea, it just seems to work perfectly for me. The reasons?  1 . Ghostwriting Pays Well Ghostwriting is a lucrative niche . One of the best things about ghostwriting is that you get paid a handsome amount for it. And you get paid upfront. You don't have to wait to write, publish and then market your book to make any money out of it.    At Ghostwriters' World, I offer other writing services such as copywriting but ghostwriting undoubtedly pays the best. You just have to find the right clients- the ones who will pay you well. 2. You Have to do Less Homework Often your clients will have brilliant ideas and stories that they would want you to work on. This means you would not have to start from scratch. You don't have to come up with your own ideas and voice. You would have an outline or plot to begin with so you'll have to do less homewo

The Dark Side of Freelancing You Were Never Told About

If you've been reading my blogs, you know I am always encouraging everyone to work from home. I've been sharing my experience of working as a freelance writer here with you. As I have worked from home as a freelance content writer and ghostwriter for the last 10 years of my life, I seem to know the ins and outs of this area well, if I dare say so myself.   Yes, I admit it. I've absolutely loved the challenges of freelancing so far. It has seemed to fit in so well around my family and home. In my previous posts I've bragged about how comfortably I make a living from my couch by just using my laptop. I've talked about how amazingly I have managed to create a healthy work-life balance ....But sorry, guys! Today is not one of those days. Today I'll reveal an honest yet brutal truth of my life. I suffer from something called 'Work At Home Mom Depression' (WAHMD). And before you try to Google the term, I'll tell you it's what I just made up. B
