MAKING MONEY ONLINE: Build Your Own Website or Blog

Making money online doesn't have to be complicated. You can do it without any experience, starting now. How, you ask? Well, there are lots of ways but this blog post is all about doing it through your own blog or website.

What is a Website?

Do I really need to tell you? In this technologically advanced world, we all have heard of websites. Haven't we?

While many of us are already aware of the term,  I'm sure there is a bunch of people there who wish to know what a website is before they start making money out of it.

So here we go. A website is a collection of different web pages brought together to serve a common purpose. It may contain text, audio, video, graphics, information or may be used to sell certain items. As an example, you can see Amazon is a website. Ebay is another one.

All websites have a homepage and several other pages with items or services to sell, help, contact pages and more. They are all combined to give this website its full form and shape and make it a successful business today.

What is a Blog?

So, you are reading a post on my blog now called 'Ghostwriters' World', and I am the one who's writing the blog. I am a blogger.

A blog is something where you discuss or provide information on a particular topic or several topics which are related. Each discussion is called a ‘post’ where real users share their expertise, provide solutions or just discuss a matter or problem.

Blogs need to be updated frequently (ideally on a daily basis). Sorry mine is updated everyday but it is done on a weekly basis.

A successful blog can actually drive millions of users monthly who like to gain insight on a certain topic and wish to know how to get things done right. Some of the most popular blogs are DIY blogs among males and make-up blogs among females.

My blog is all about freelance writing, ghostwriting and making money online in all sorts of different ways, but primarily by writing as a freelance content writer or ghostwriter.

Why Have Your Own Blog or Website?

I think one of the best ways to make money online is to have your own website or blog instead of sharing your ideas on others’ blogs or selling your stuff on Ebay or Amazon. And why not? Why not make something different and sell it on your own making it as popular as Ebay is?

All you need to start your blog or website is an initiative and a bit of positive thinking. You could create one out of your own creativity or ask someone to get it done for you, but take my word on this: it isn’t very difficult to do it on your own. Free website making tools like Wix have made life a lot easier and cheaper too.

If You Are Still Not Sure....

There are plenty of guides available on the Internet on how you can build your own website from scratch which are very easy to follow too. Keep your website updated, tell people why they should buy off you and that’s how you can attract more customers.

You might consider it better to pay a small annual amount to get your website hosted rather than getting it hosted for free. One of such hosts is Fat Cow. You can Goggle to find others which best suit your hosting needs. You are paid for advertising on your website or you could sell something on it and make yourself a fortune.

You sell if you come up with something new or different, unique and original or provide your buyers with an advantage(s) so that they would only buy from you.
Your Idea Counts!

Sell a unique idea! Why should people buy from you when others are selling similar stuff? Why should they visit your blog when there are thousands of other better blogs to read out there? You need to be different and come up with something original, something that makes you stand out of the crowd.

To make customers initially, you might have to cut down your profit margins and over deliver by offering free shipping or free gifts with any purchase. Once that's done and you bring in a few satisfied customers, the word of mouth, as they call it, will help you get more clientèle. Sell your unique ideas and offer them a service they won't forget. Convince the audience on your blog or website to keep coming for more.

Advertising:

Advertising on your website or blog is a good idea (but not always) to start earning on a pay per click basis or otherwise. I'll talk about this later in some other blog in future.

The Fact:

So far, so good? While everything may sound really good so far and may have perhaps motivated to start building your own website already. But, and that is a big BUT, don’t think you can become a millionaire overnight.

You really have to struggle at first and the money starts building at a slow and gradual pace and it may actually take up to 3 years before you start to make some profits out of it. The first year may only get you up to $1-$10. Of course, it can be more than that but everybody doesn’t turn out to be lucky in those first years. Just have some patience and get things going smoothly. You’ll end up making a lot of money in future with a bit of hard work, patience, perseverance and determination.

Good luck!

8 Reasons Why You Should Become a Ghostwriter

Despite having published under my own name, I prefer being a ghostwriter. While ghostwriting is not everyone's cup of tea, it just seems to work perfectly for me. The reasons?  1 . Ghostwriting Pays Well Ghostwriting is a lucrative niche . One of the best things about ghostwriting is that you get paid a handsome amount for it. And you get paid upfront. You don't have to wait to write, publish and then market your book to make any money out of it.    At Ghostwriters' World, I offer other writing services such as copywriting but ghostwriting undoubtedly pays the best. You just have to find the right clients- the ones who will pay you well. 2. You Have to do Less Homework Often your clients will have brilliant ideas and stories that they would want you to work on. This means you would not have to start from scratch. You don't have to come up with your own ideas and voice. You would have an outline or plot to begin with so you'll have to do less homewo

7 Skills That Will Help You Succeed as a Ghostwriter

You have just found out that ghostwriting is a lucrative career . You wish to become a ghostwriter now, but you know it is not easy to be one. The biggest challenge you will face as a ghostwriter is to see someone else take the credit for your writing. That’s what all ghostwriters sign up for. Developing this sense of detachment is the first thing you’ll need to learn to do, but there are other skills that you’ll need to succeed as a ghostwriter. Besides having a command over the language and mastering the art of writing that we all need as writers, there are 7 other skills that, in my opinion, will help you develop a successful career in ghostwriting. 1. Be Versatile – You should be able to handle different kinds of writing projects with equal ease. While you may be an expert in a certain niche or genre, don’t just confine yourself to ghostwriting books. Expand your skills to write short or long articles, blogs, speeches or essays. Confining yourself to just one area wil

The Dark Side of Freelancing You Were Never Told About

If you've been reading my blogs, you know I am always encouraging everyone to work from home. I've been sharing my experience of working as a freelance writer here with you. As I have worked from home as a freelance content writer and ghostwriter for the last 10 years of my life, I seem to know the ins and outs of this area well, if I dare say so myself.   Yes, I admit it. I've absolutely loved the challenges of freelancing so far. It has seemed to fit in so well around my family and home. In my previous posts I've bragged about how comfortably I make a living from my couch by just using my laptop. I've talked about how amazingly I have managed to create a healthy work-life balance ....But sorry, guys! Today is not one of those days. Today I'll reveal an honest yet brutal truth of my life. I suffer from something called 'Work At Home Mom Depression' (WAHMD). And before you try to Google the term, I'll tell you it's what I just made up. B
